Bluegrass returns to the Wildflower this Friday night... [ Wildflower image ]

Chatham County Line at RockyGrass (photo: Greg Mudd)The fall Wildflower Concert Series in Lyons continues this Friday night (October 14) with the return of Festivarian favorites Chatham County Line with special guests Moors & McCumber.

Since winning the RockyGrass band contest in 2004, Chatham County Line have earned standing ovations on the Telluride, RockyGrass and Wildflower stages. With poignant songwriting, a dry wit, and lively four-part harmonies sung around a single microphone, the beloved North Carolina quartet is "well-deserving of inclusion on a list of America's best modern string bands" (The Bluegrass Situation). CCL's latest album, appropriately titled Autumn, "simultaneously envelopes its listeners in a soothing coolness and the organic warmth of a traditional bluegrass hearth" (PopMatters 8/10 review).

Moors & McCumberColorado duo Moors & McCumber take the stage at 8pm. Since meeting 11 years ago at The Song School, the singer / songwriter / multi-instrumentalists have been crafting their wide-ranging musical influences into a tight duo show of acoustic Americana. Grammy-winning producer Lloyd Maines raves: "they bring it all to the stage and deliver it in a big way."

We'll open the Wildflower doors and begin serving beer, wine, and hot drinks at 7pm; the music starts at 8pm. As always, parking is free and convenient on the Planet Bluegrass Ranch. A few tickets are still available, with no service fees of course, at or 800-624-2422.

Grab dinner at one of our fine local restaurants (BBQ, anyone?). Then head over to the Planet Bluegrass Ranch for an unforgettable autumn evening of bluegrass along the St. Vrain River. Or make it extra special by reserving a night at Lyons' own WeeCasa, Colorado's First Tiny Home Hotel. Our friends at WeeCasa (a 5 minute walk from the Wildflower) are offering a special Festivarian discount when you use the discount code WILDFLOWERFALL2016.

We only have 3 more evenings of bluegrass in the Wildflower Pavilion this fall. We hope you're able to join us. Happy Autumn!
