Songs and harmonies in the Wildflower Pavilion... [ Wildflower image ]

The Stray BirdsThis Friday night (April 22) we fill the Wildflower Pavilion with songs, strings and the sweet harmonies of 2 acclaimed bands: The Stray Birds and Lindsay Lou & The Flatbellys.

NPR Music named The Stray Birds' debut one of the top 10 Folk/Americana albums of 2012, commenting that "clearly these are players with chops, songwriters with a fierce command of their craft." After several finalist recognitions in both our Folks Showcase and Telluride Troubadour songwriting contests, the Pennsylvania trio played a gorgeous set on the 2014 Folks Fest main stage -- and we've had many Festivarian requests to invite them into our intimate Wildflower Pavilion.

Lindsay Lou & The FlatbellysLindsay Lou & the Flatbellys' recent appearance on Mountain Stage was named "One of Public Radio's Favorite Sessions Of 2015"-- who wrote that "their alt-bluegrass sound made 500 audience members swoon." Wildflower Festivarians experienced that Lindsay Lou swoon first-hand last April. We're thrilled to welcome the Michigan quartet back to our acoustically enhanced Pavilion this Friday night for a set of "what bluegrass crossed with Motown sounds like" (NPR Music).

Tickets are still available for this special Friday night co-bill at or 800-624-2422. Doors open at 7pm and the music starts at 8pm, with both bands playing full sets. Once you've made your plans, help us spread the word by RSVP'ing to the event on Facebook.

And looking ahead, tickets are selling quickly for our season finale show -- sister quartet SHEL's CD release concert (April 29). Each Friday evening we'll light the bonfire (weather permitting) and begin serving drinks at the Wildflower bar at 7pm (New Belgium Beer, wine, and hot drinks); followed by music starting at 8pm. We can't wait to share these last few magical Spring evenings with you here in Lyons.
