NightGrass. For longtime members of Festivarian Nation, that one word instantly evokes jittery excitement. So we'll stick to the facts: 1) the full NightGrass schedule is below; 2) the online lottery is open Tuesday thru Wednesday, April 14-15; and 3) spread the word to your Festivarian family.
As an accompaniment to your NightGrass planning, here are 2 stunning videos we can't stop playing: The Lone Bellow belting out 3-part harmonies from the crowd in Telluride and the sweet sound of Sara Watkins, Sarah Jarosz, and Aoife O'Donovan in the studio (they'll be at this year's RockyGrass). Gorgeous stuff.
As if epic performances all day on the main stage, workshops in Elks Park, and pickin' in campgrounds, condos and street corners weren't enough, the shortest nights of the year have their own soundtrack: NightGrass. These late-night indoor shows have created their own legend and lore as bands play their most intimate shows of the year in storied Telluride and Mountain Village venues, including this year's addition of the historic Swede-Finn Hall...

If you're still looking for your Telluride Bluegrass tickets, a few Thursday, Friday (!!) and Sunday single-day tickets are available in the "Returned Ticket Resale" section of shop.bluegrass.com. They won't be around long.
Camping is still available at family friendly Telluride High School, on the west end of the valley floor at Lawson Hill, and by the river at Mary E. Ilium. Or if sleeping under the stars isn't your thing, check out the lodging options in Telluride and Mountain Village.
Looking ahead… Watch for the announcement of the free FirstGrass show in early May, and the Elks Park and Family Tent schedules in early June.
Of course there's no reason to wait for Telluride for magical intimate concerts in a storied indoor venue... The spring Wildflower Concert Series is underway here on the Planet Bluegrass Ranch in Lyons.
This Friday night (April 17) we present 2 of our favorite creative young bluegrass bands: Lindsay Lou & the Flatbellys (here's one of their many irresistible tunes) and The Lil' Smokies.
Then we finish the spring series in May with The Railsplitters CD release show (May 1) and Bay Area sextet (and past RockyGrass & Telluride band contest winners) Front Country with special guests Ragged Union (May 8). Tickets for all of these shows are available now at shop.bluegrass.com. We'd love for you to join us for a Friday night here in Lyons.
