After our past year of flood rebirth, "thankful" doesn't begin to convey the depth of emotions we felt around the Planet Bluegrass table yesterday. We couldn't have returned without the love and support of Festivarian Nation. We're profoundly grateful to each and every one of you.
On this first day of holiday shopping, we're still a little too full of stuffing and pie to say much about historic Telluride posters or copies of our Telluride Bluegrass book. But we wanted to share a some important festival news in preparation for all our 2015 tickets going onsale next week...
• Folks Festival tickets and Song School spaces (onsale December 2 at 9am MST)
RockyGrass tickets (onsale December 3 at 9am MST)
• Telluride Bluegrass tickets (onsale December 5 at 9am MST)
If If camping in the on-site campground is part of your RockyGrass tradition, then you have just 2 days left (!!) to enter the online lottery for these coveted campground (and vehicle) spots. The lottery -- the final of our 2015 camping lotteries -- closes on Sunday, November 30 at 11:59pm MST.
Back by popular demand, we're again offering RockyGrass camping across the street from the Planet Bluegrass Ranch at River Bend. This gorgeous wooded campground offers tent camping along the river and convenient parking. New this year, we're designating a portion of the River Bend Campground as "family camping" with extended evening quiet hours.
The Town of Lyons is aiming to complete the final post-flood reconstruction of Meadow Park by June 1, 2015. Current designs show an even better (and bigger) Meadow Park, with lots of new amenities and plentiful river access. With the increased tent camping at River Bend and Meadow Park, this year we're allowing singe-day ticket holders to camp at Meadow Park and limiting Bohn Park to only RV and vehicle camping (no tents).
Remember: RockyGrass camping, 3-day passes, and single-day tickets all go onsale on Wednesday, December 3 at 9am MST. Spread the word to your tarpmates!
As we prepare for a record number of campers to return for the historic Folks Festival silver anniversary (August 14-16, 2015) we've added additional Folks Festival camping in the River Bend Campground, located directly across the street from the Planet Bluegrass Ranch. As with RockyGrass camping, we're designating a portion of River Bend as "family camping" and also selling River Bend parking passes.
Tickets and camping for the 25th annual "summit on the song" go onsale Tuesday, December 2 at 9am MST. We'll be offering a very limited number of discounted 3-day passes and on-site camping passes ($30 discount!) beginning Tuesday morning, while they last. Single-day tickets for Folks Fest will go onsale in early Spring after the announcement of the complete single-day lineup.
Don't forget (this will be our final reminder): Tickets and camping for the 42nd Annual Telluride Bluegrass Festival -- including 4-day passes and single-day tickets -- go onsale next Friday, December 5 at 9am MST.
Due to upcoming construction projects, Telluride High School may not be available as a campground for the 2015 Telluride Bluegrass. We'll update our Telluride camping page with more details as soon as we receive them from the school district.
We're busy confirming artists for the 2015 Telluride Bluegrass, as we aim to make an initial lineup announcement near the Winter Solstice. In the meantime, here's a wonderful profile of Bela Fleck & Abigail Washburn from our friends at PBS NewsHour, featuring performances from RockyGrass and Telluride.
With love and gratitude,
