We may have had twenty years to dream about Folks' 20th, but we still weren't quite prepared for the emotion, power, and beauty of last weekend's historic celebration. From the weather to the Wildflower, the river rock sculptures to the epic main stage sets (far too many to mention here), we're still overwhelmed by the joy and the memories. We can't wait to begin collecting and sharing some of these memories in the coming months...
(psst... Be sure to stick with us to the bottom of this email for your chance to win a pair of VIP tickets to Friday's Yonder Mountain String Band and Leftover Salmon show at Red Rocks...)

If you joined us for the sold-out 20th Annual Rocky Mountain Folks Festival we'd love to hear about your experience in our online survey. Your feedback has helped us reach number twenty, and it will undoubtedly make the 21st an even more unforgettable weekend of song. Take about 5 minutes to give us your thoughts, and you'll be entered in a drawing to win passes to the 2011 festival.
If you missed out on Folks, check out the articles in the Denver Post, Boulder Daily Camera, Longmont Times-Call, the wonderful mother-daughter bloggers at No Depression, and a Song School feature in the Lincoln Journal-Star. Then be sure to mark your calendar for the 2011 Folks Festival: August 19-21.
Congratulations to the first official artist on the 2011 Folks lineup: this year's Songwriter Showcase winner Megan Burtt of Denver, CO. As you look to refresh your music collection in the coming months, we highly recommend you begin with some of this year's Songwriter Showcase finalists.
As well, our Campsite Challenge grand prize winner, "Camp Ultimate Winner," received a pair of onsite camping passes for 2011. All summer long, sustainable campsites won footwear, New Belgium beer, and Planet Bluegrass music through random drawings at all our festivals. Make your resolution now to enter the Campsite Challenge in 2011.

This Friday night (August 27), one of our favorite bands Yonder Mountain String Band returns to the Red Rocks Ampitheatre in Morrison, CO. Tickets are still available for this year's extravaganza – featuring Leftover Salmon and special guest Split Lip Rayfield (here are a couple videos from Yonder's 2009 Red Rocks show to get you even more excited).
Always grateful to the Festivarian Family for their loyalty and support, Yonder has given us a pair of VIP tickets to give away to a lucky festivarian! Enter to win at: http://bit.ly/ymsbrr. We'll select the winner at 10am on Thursday morning, so get your entry in right now – all you need is an email address. And spread the word to your festivarian family, our selectorizer machine is especially attracted to good karma.
Finally, tickets are now on-sale for our enchanting Mabon Celebration with Adam Aijala & Ben Kaufmann (of Yonder Mountain String Band) on Saturday, September 18 at the Planet Bluegrass Ranch in Lyons, CO. This intimate gathering – marking the Autumnal Equinox – features camping, a Mabon feast, a day of revelry at the Ranch, and a special evening of music in the Wildflower Pavilion from Adam and Ben. Tickets and camping for this 4th annual celebration are available now at shop.bluegrass.com or 800-624-2422. We can't wait to share this final weekend of summer with you in Lyons.
Best,
The Folks on Planet Bluegrass
