Greetings Festivarians,
Blame it on the breakneck bluegrass breakdowns blazing outside our
offices for the past couple weeks...
In the quickfire span of just five days we announced and put on sale
the first 4 shows in the new Wildflower Concert Series here on the Planet Bluegrass Ranch in Lyons:
Tickets for the opening night gala with Tim O'Brien sold-out in less
than 2 hours on Monday morning, but you can still get your tickets for each of these
other shows in the new 300-seat "cathedral of Bluegrass," the Wildflower Pavilion, here in Lyons. Order online now at shop.bluegrass.com.
Just four days from now, the pace finally slows down as we welcome the sold-out Song School to the Ranch. For five inspirational days, 140 songwriters from all over the world will develop and refine their craft with instructors like Darrell Scott, Catie Curtis, Peter Himmelman, and Mary Gauthier.
Many of these remarkable songwriters will be with us next weekend for the 17th Annnual Rocky Mountain Folks Festival (August 17-19). Despite what you may have heard, we still have single-day, 3-day, and camping passes (including the coveted on-site campground) available.
From Gillian Welch and Grace Potter & the Nocturnals on Friday thru the legendary Richie Havens and the spotlighted crooning of Chris Isaak's festival finale on Sunday night, songs and stories will fill the August Lyons air. Plant your chair in the cooling currents of the St. Vrain and join your fellow Festivarians for our summit of the song next weekend.
If you've been talking about introducing some friends to the wonders of Planet Bluegrass, the Folks Fest might be your perfect opportunity. Tickets are available now at 800-624-2422 or online at shop.bluegrass.com.
Best,
The folks on Planet Bluegrass
