Rocky mountain country soul this Friday in the Wildflower... [ Wildflower image ]

Bonnie & the ClydesThis Friday night, March 31, we welcome the Rocky Mountain country soul of Bonnie & The Clydes with special guests Masontown to the Wildflower Pavilion in Lyons. Tickets are still available at shop.bluegrass.com or 800-624-2422.

Twice named "Best Country Band" (2013 & 2014) by Denver Westword, Bonnie & The Clydes bring "more twang than most Colorado country acts, not to mention the astounding vocals of the spitfire namesake of the band, Bonnie Sims" (Marquee Magazine). With the sharp Tele pickin' of Taylor Sims (founding member of 2007 RockyGrass and Telluride band contest winners Spring Creek) and pedal steel hero Glenn Taylor, along with ace rhythm section of Caleb Roberts (founding member of Open Road) and drummer Jake Coffin, this promises to be an evening to don the cowboy boots for some soulfully groovin' honky tonkin'.

MasontownColorado bluegrass quartet Masontown opens the show at 8pm. Bringing together musicians with deep roots in the bluegrass, jazz and classical traditions, Masontown took 2nd place in the 2016 RockyGrass band contest -- and just completed a Kickstarter campaign to fund their debut CD. Says Grant Gordy about Masontown: "The Front Range has a new group to be reckoned with!"

Tickets for this Friday night -- and the other 4 shows in our Spring Wildflower Concert Series -- are on sale now (with no service fees, of course) at shop.bluegrass.com or 800-624-2422. Plan to arrive early for beer, wine, and hot drink at the Wildflower bar; the bar and Pavilion doors open at 7pm.

Spend the night at one of our boutique hotels, including the Festivarie Inn bed & breakfast. (Use the reservation code "WILDFLOWER" for a 20% discount!) Then spend a leisurely Saturday exploring the trails at Heil Valley or Hall Ranch on foot or mountain bike.

Thanks to everyone who helped make the opening night of our 10th Wildflower season -- a sold-out show featuring Shane Koyczan -- so magical. We can't wait to see you again this weekend in Lyons. Happy spring!
