It's over a week away, but tickets are nearly gone for our spring season finale with Greensky Bluegrass next Friday, May 6.
Since winning the Telluride
band contest in 2006, the Michigan-based jamgrass juggernauts have been the buzz of the bluegrass world. And for good reason: their setlists mix traditionals, innovative covers (from Jimi Hendrix to Michael Jackson), to high-energy originals rich in story and creativity. And as Seattle Weekly points out: "Of course, this is bluegrass. So manic chops mean a lot to Greensky Bluegrass." (Here are 2 free mp3s.)
In the past few years they have earned enthusiastic encores on the main stages of Telluride Bluegrass, RockyGrass, and a sold-out Wildflower show in 2009. Next Friday night they mark the end of our Spring Wildflower Concert Series with 2 full sets of music next to the St. Vrain. (Please note: this will be a dancing show with minimal seating.)
As we've been warning for months, this show will sell-out well in advance. We're now down to just a few remaining tickets, so order yours (while you still can) at shop.bluegrass.com, 303-823-0848, or in-person at The Stone Cup.
Spend the full evening in our wonderful little town of Lyons. Enjoy one of our great restaurants (sushi, pizza, tapas, Mexican, brewpub, BBQ, and more). Play a few games of classic pinball. Then walk over to Planet Bluegrass to grab drinks at the Wildflower bar (New Belgium Beer, wine, and hot drinks). Doors open at 7pm and Greensky takes the stage at 8pm for two full sets. We can't wait to see you next Friday night.
