The music of Minneapolis singer-songwriter (and Folks Festival favorite) Ellis is best described by the effect it has on her audience: she leaves them better than she finds them, transformed, with softened edges and opened hearts. With compelling songwriting and performances filled with contagious laughter and compassion, we are left with a feeling of something very, very real.
Spend the full evening in our wonderful little town of Lyons. Enjoy one of our great restaurants (sushi, pizza, tapas, Mexican, brewpub, and more). Play a few games of classic pinball. Then walk over to Planet Bluegrass to grab drinks at the Wildflower bar (New Belgium Beer, wine, and hot drinks). Doors open at 7pm and Driftwood Fire takes the stage at 8pm. We can't wait to see you Friday night.
After years of packed performances in the Wildflower during the Folks Festival (and a wonderful main stage set in 2007), this Friday evening (April 15), Ellis brings her smiling glow back to Lyons for an intimate seated show in the Wildflower Concert Series.
She'll be joined by the rootsy, inventive and pop-tastically ear-pleasing Colorado duo Driftwood Fire for an opening set at 8pm (watch videos).
We anticipate a few tickets still being available at the door on Friday night. But save yourself $2 and order advance tickets now at shop.bluegrass.com, 303-823-0848, or in-person at The Stone Cup. Then share with your friends by RSVP'ing on Facebook.
