(PHB guitarist Josh Erwin) This Friday evening (March 25) Packway Handle Band returns to the Wildflower Pavilion to top their now legendary standing-room-only October 2008 Wildflower Concert. The Athens, GA-based quintet (voted that musical city's best bluegrass band for 8 years) dances around a single microphone mixing 4-part gospel harmonies, witty originals, and irreverent covers (from Violent Femmes to Stevie Wonder to INXS). Their fresh, energetic sound has earned them 2nd place finishes in both the Telluride and RockyGrass band contests and tours throughout the US and Europe. This Friday evening they'll be joined by Fort Collins' jamgrassers Whitewater Ramble for a high-energy bluegrass blowout in our Cathedral of Bluegrass. Tickets will be available at the door on Friday night ($15). But save yourself $3 and order advance tickets now at shop.bluegrass.com, 303-823-0848, or in-person at The Stone Cup. --------------------------- A high-energy trad-absurdist bluegrass experience... ** PACKWAY HANDLE BAND w/ special guests WHITEWATER RAMBLE ** Friday, March 25, 8:00pm $12 advance / $15 door --------------------------- Deft vocal change-ups & musically witty instrumentals... ** MISSY RAINES & THE NEW HIP w/ JAYME STONE ** Friday, April 8, 8:00pm $15 advance / $17 door --------------------------- Folk singer, dharma teacher, comedienne... ** ELLIS w/ special guests DRIFTWOOD FIRE ** Friday, April 15, 8:00pm $15 advance / $17 door --------------------------- Spring season finale... ** GREENSKY BLUEGRASS ** Friday, May 6, 8:00pm $20 advance / $22 door --------------------------- Plan to spend a full evening in our wonderful little town of Lyons.
