Join us this Saturday evening (October 2) for a very special community benefit for our neighbors who have been affected by the Fourmile Canyon fire, featuring the Romano Paoletti Band and Spring Creek.
Lyons' own Romano Paoletti opened last year's fall series with an energetic and spirited CD release show of honky-tonkin' folk-country-rock. That debut album, Story of a Lifetime, continues to win critical accolades: Westword marvels at Romano's "formidable yet seemingly effortless abilities as a singer-songwriter," while Scene Magazine raves about "the awesome power of Paoletti’s voice, which is clear and intriguing." Once again Romano has assembled an all-star band including Eric Thorin, Sally Van Meter, Todd Moore, Don Ambory, and special guests Jessie Burns (of Gaelic Storm) and Amanda Paoletti.
We kick off the evening with the award-winning bluegrass of Lyons' own Spring Creek, winners of the 2007 RockyGrass and Telluride Bluegrass band contests (watch them live).
Advance tickets are still available for Saturday's very special benefit concert – $15 at shop.bluegrass.com or 303-823-0848. We'll also have tickets at the door beginning at 7pm – cash-only. We'll be serving beer & wine, coffee & tea, and popcorn all night. Doors open at 7pm; Spring Creek goes on at 8pm. Free parking is available right on the Planet Bluegrass Ranch (here's a map). And all proceeds benefit the victims of the Fourmile Canyon Fire.
Thanks to everyone who joined us two weeks ago for the sold-out Mabon Celebration. Bring along some new friends to the Wildflower this Saturday night - forward this email or surprise them with tickets - as we join together for this special community benefit.
