This Friday night we welcome the unbridled jubilation of Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros for their Colorado debut.
It's not often a band performs on David Letterman (watch the video) and the Wildflower Pavilion in the same week. It's not often we literally fill the Wildflower stage with bass drums and trumpets, upright pianos and accordions. It's not often that a young band creates such a national buzz for their unforgettably joyous and passionate live shows. But this Friday is one of those nights - tell your friends, have them tell their friends, and make sure everyone wears their dancing shoes...
Singer-songwriter-musician Ian Cooke will kick off the evening with a beautiful set of looped cello, keyboards, and vocals to complement the joyous overtones of the Magnetic Zeros. The most critically-acclaimed musician on the Denver indie scene, Ian was recently voted #1 in the Denver Post Underground Music Poll.
You might want to act now: advance tickets are selling briskly - $12 at shop.bluegrass.com or 303-823-0848. We'll be serving New Belgium beer & wine, coffee & tea, and popcorn all night. Doors open at 7pm, free parking is available on the Planet Bluegrass Ranch (here's a map), and the bonfire will be glowing after the show along the St. Vrain River.
Festivarian means more than just festivals. Help us build this year-round music community by bringing a friend to an upcoming show; become our friend on Facebook; or just forward this email to some fellow music lovers. We can't wait to see you Friday night.
