After a rich summer of festival magic it's time once again to gather close for intimate music in the Wildflower Pavilion in Lyons. We kick things off this Friday night (Sept. 4) with Lyons' own Romano Paoletti celebrating the release of his wonderful new CD. The honky tonkin' singer-songwriter has put together an all-star band that includes Sally Van Meter, Caleb Roberts, Eric Thorin, Tyler Grant (Drew Emmitt Band), Betse Ellis (The Wilders), Todd Moore, and others.
Next Friday (Sept 11) the epic jubilation of Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros make their Colorado debut - be sure to catch them live on David Letterman this Friday or check out their feature in Rolling Stone Magazine. And make your plans now to join us a week later (Sept 19) for an enchanting Mabon celebration with Adam Aijala & Ben Kaufmann from Yonder Mountain String Band with special guest Elmo Otto, camping, a Mabon Feast, and more.
Advance tickets are still available for this Friday's show - $12 at shop.bluegrass.com or 303-823-0848. We'll also have tickets at the door beginning at 7pm - cash-only. We'll be serving beer & wine, coffee & tea, and popcorn all night. Doors open at 7pm; Gin Wagon goes on at 8pm; hang out after the show at the bonfire along the St. Vrain River; and free parking is available right on the Planet Bluegrass Ranch (here's a map).
Together, we're creating a year-round concert community here in Lyons. Help us build this community by bringing a friend to an upcoming show; become our friend on Facebook; or just forward this email to some fellow music lovers. We can't wait to see you Friday night.
