This Saturday (April 25) we welcome two of our favorite Colorado bands to the Wildflower Pavilion in Lyons...
Billy Nershi calls Elephant Revival "a magical blend of melodies and rhythms, with their roots in the past and hearts in the future." A recent profile in Colorado Music Buzz describes their sound as "modern poetry with a hint of acknowledging traditional Folk music." On Saturday night, the quintet will be performing around a single microphone - their first Front Range performance in this new configuration.
Elephant Revival shares Saturday's bill with The Moody Sisters, a sweet-harmonizing quintet that debuted in the Wildflower about a year ago at the "More Pretty Girls Than One: II" concert. Featuring KC Groves, Sally Truitt, Cheryl Winston, Erin Humphrey, and Tierney Kathleen, the Moodies cook up a fresh-out-of-the-oven, vintage blend of folk, bluegrass, cowboy swing and old-time music.
Tickets are just $15 - available today at shop.bluegrass.com, 303-823-0848, or at the door on Saturday (cash-only) beginning at 7pm. Grab a few friends and join us for a bonfire by the river, beer and wine, popcorn, and two distinctively "Colorado" bands. Doors open at 7pm; music starts right at 8pm; and free parking is available conveniently on the Planet Bluegrass Ranch (here's a map).
Help us build a year-round concert community here in Lyons by bringing a friend to a show; become our friend on Facebook; or forward this email to some fellow music lovers, or follow us on Twitter. We can't wait to see you tomorrow night.
