Let the lotterizing begin! Just 24 hours after our final Wildflower concert of 2009 (a wonderful evening of duets from David Grier & Mike Compton), we embarked on the first steps toward the 2010 festival season: the online lotteries for Town Park camping at Telluride Bluegrass and the RockyGrass Academy. Both of these lotteries are now closed, with entries coming in from nearly every U.S. state and numerous countries around the world.

Mark your calendar: we will once again also be selling on-site camping and vehicle passes for RockyGrass using an online lottery - open November 23 thru December 6. Then all other 2010 festival tickets go on sale on December 9.
With the opening of the RockyGrass Academy lottery, comes the preliminary lineup of instructors. This year's faculty includes the Infamous Stringdusters, Travelin' McCourys, Wyatt Rice, Rickie Simpkins, and many more. In addition to instrumental classes, we'll once again be offering tracks for vocals, dance, and songwriting (featuring Grammy-nominated songwriter Sarah Siskind).
Amidst the backdrop of the Wildflower Pavilion, we've been busy talking to artists around the world, preparing for the 2010 festival season. Mark your calendars for all our festivals, including the Telluride Bluegrass Festival (June 17-20) and the 20th Anniversary of Rocky Mountain Folks Festival (August 13-15) on the Planet Bluegrass Ranch in Lyons.

In 2007, Governor Bill Ritter, jr. declared June 23 Colorado Bluegrass Day - honoring Planet Bluegrass for "using renewable energy to help protect our environment while producing a world-class festival." This honor reflects our years of leading the way in sustainable festivation and the green festival movement in America.
